Shimeta to Present at “CCM Speaks”

Our co-founder and board chair, Kathleen Shimeta, was invited to participate in the first “CCM Speaks,” an event hosted by the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music that highlights innovative alumni projects. On Friday, April 19, she will present a 15-minute talk followed by audience Q&A, sharing how her rediscovery of Gena Branscombe led to the founding of The Gena Branscombe Project.

The event is open to local attendance and will be recorded and posted to CCM’s YouTube channel for viewing this summer. To register or for more information, please visit the event website.

UPDATE 4/15/24

The “CCM Speaks” in-person event has been canceled. An electronic version will be issued at a later date.

Despite the disappointment, “The Gena Project continues on!”
