Branscombe Song Performed at BU Tanglewood Institute

In the second of two solo recitals for the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Vocal Program, audiences were treated to a performance of Branscombe’s song “Ah! Love, I Shall Find Thee.” With both poetry and music by Branscombe, the aria was originally included as part of her unfinished opera, The Bells of Circumstance, and was intended as a duet between soprano and tenor. But the piece stands on its own as a sweeping anthem to love and the sweet hope of reunion.

Soprano Julia Drover Crane and pianist Reese Revak performed the song on August 7, 2023, at Trinity Church in Lenox, MA. Audio and video recording by Cooper Malanowski.
